1830 Original Pigeon Forge Moonshine

Moonshine jars

When you visit the Old Forge Distillery, you will have the opportunity to enjoy a selection ofexciting small batch spirits. The talented distillers at Old Forge employ a combination of ground corn and clean spring water to produce what’s known as the “1830 Original,” a 100 proof moonshine. Visitors to the distillery can currently choose between three recipes of the 1830 Original, each with their own distinct taste and grain elements. The name of the moonshine is a nod to the year the Old Mill was constructed.

Tasting Bar

A highlight of the Old Forge Distillery is its tasting bar. Open Monday – Saturday between 10 a.m. and 9 p.m., the tasting bar is staffed by friendly moonshine experts who are happy to pour guests a sample and answer questions.

Historic Location

The Old Mill

The Old Forge Distillery is located right where the historic Iron Forge was built in 1820. It was this forge that gave the city of Pigeon Forge its name and led to the creation of the Old Mill ten years later. The Old Forge Distillery makes the most of its amazing location by using freshly ground corn from the Old Mill in its spirits.
