Tax Free Weekend in Tennessee, begins at 12:01 AM on Friday, August 3rd and ends on Sunday August 5th at 11:59 PM. During this weekend, many back to school items, including school supplies, clothing and computers will all be tax free!

If you’re coming to Tennessee on a trip during this time, you might consider combining your shopping with sight-seeing in the Smoky Mountains! Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, both located in the Smokey Mountains, offer an array of shopping and tourist experiences.

Shopping in Pigeon Forge Tennessee offers over 300 stores and outlets for your convenience, where you can find all you need for the Tax Free Weekend. With all the stores and outlets located in Pigeon Forge, its best to stay at least overnight.

Pigeon Forge lodging offers great rates at this time of the year. If you’re looking for more of a “country” experience, you can also try Pigeon Forge cabins, nestled right into the Smoky Mountains.

If you find yourself needing a change of scenery, then head up the road to Gatlinburg, just a ten minute drive from Pigeon Gorge. Gatlinburg also offers a wide variety of stores, restaurants, and outdoor adventures for the entire family.

Like Pigeon Forge lodging, Gatlinburg lodging offers similar deals and rates, with a wide variety of hotels, campgrounds, and Gatlinburg Cabins. They even have a choice of bed and breakfasts and condominiums, if you’re looking for a more relaxing weekend.

With so many shopping and lodging choices, the Smoky Mountains are a must visit for a weekend getaway during the upcoming Tax Free Weekend in August. Whether you’re looking for one overnight room or a romantic cabin in the woods, both Pigeon Gorge Lodging and Gatlinburg Lodging offer an unbeatable selection!
