The Old Mill
July 15, 2014

If you’re a cornhole playing pro, you could win big this August! As part of the Stringtime in the Smokies bluegrass festival, The Old Mill Square will host the 5th Annual Smoky Mountain Cornhole Tournament in Pigeon Forge. This year’s grand prize is $1,000! Taking place on Saturday August 2 at 11 a.m, the Cornhole Tournament is a can’t miss event for the bean bag champion in your family.

How to Play Cornhole

Don’t know how to play cornhole? Not a problem! Cornhole takes about 5 seconds to learn (but much longer to master). Similar to a game of horseshoes, participants toss bags filled with corn or beans onto a platform. If the bag goes into the hole, three points are awarded. If it makes it onto the platform, then players receive one point. The first team to score 21 points wins the game.

Cornhole Tournament Registration

The Smoky Mountain Cornhole Tournament features two divisions: The Competitive Teams and The Amateur Teams. Each team has two players.

  • To register a Competitive Team, the fee is $50 before July 18. After that, the fee is $60.
