Overview of downtown Gatlinburg

When you think about Gatlinburg and the Smoky Mountains, it is easy to just think about pretty views and relaxing Gatlinburg cabin rentals, but there is so much more that this area has to offer guests and vacationers.

Movie Stars

Haven’t you heard? The Smoky Mountains is the premier place for all of Hollywood’s rich and famous to vacation to. Ok, so maybe not yet, but we do have a wide variety of some of the silver screen’s biggest names for guests to pose and take pictures with at the Hollywood Wax Museum. Including talented actors like Morgan Freeman, Angelina Jolie, and Tom Hanks, the Hollywood Wax Museum is a fun way to spend an afternoon in the Smokies.

Sharks

Don’t worry, this isn’t the movie Jaws, and our Smoky Mountain sharks are safely contained behind the sturdy glass walls of the Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies. You and your family will be in awe as you stroll through the literally hundreds of different types of animals and fish that call the Gatlinburg aquarium home. Exhibits include stingrays, fish, snakes, frogs, and, of course, sharks. While you are there, don’t forget to check out the fun penguin exhibit!

An Upside Down House

We’re not sure if the up means down or the down means up, all we know is that house is upside down! Rumor has it that the Wonderworks Museum landed in the Smoky Mountains after a science experiment went wrong on a remote island in the Bermuda Triangle. Not to worry though, the brave scientists and staff that survived the journey invented what they call and inversion tunnel that allows guests to enjoy the hundreds of hands-on exhibits right side up!

After a fun and exciting day of exploring all these unique attractions, Timber Tops Luxury Cabin Rentals proudly invites guests to come relax with us inside one of our secluded Gatlinburg cabin rentals. Just minutes from the Parkway, these mountain hideaways are the perfect place for you and your family to spend some time together in the Smokies. To reserve your’s today, give us a call at (877) 549-6775.
