Everyone’s favorite attraction in Pigeon Forge is planning to reopen their doors for another season filled with Smoky Mountain memories. If you’ll remember, Dollywood closed its doors on January 4, 2014, after celebrating their Smoky Mountain Christmas, ready to prepare for their 2014 season which will begin on March 22.

A few months prior, Dolly Parton announced a few big changes coming to her Pigeon Forge hometown. One of the changes includes a new family roller coaster, FireChaser Express. The FireChaser Express will be the first dual launch coaster in Pigeon Forge. The roller coaster will honor Smoky Mountain firemen who are heroes throughout the area.

There’s many reasons Dollywood is a must-visit attraction in Pigeon Forge. Some families love entering the park and sitting down in the bakery for a hot, sticky cinnamon roll while others can’t wait to jump in line for thrill rides.
