If you’re looking for a place to cool off and have some fun this summer, you can’t go wrong with a visit to Dollywood’s Splash Country! This water park has something for everyone, from high-speed slides to family rides to splash areas for little ones. Whether you’re looking for an exciting thrill or a laid-back float, you’re sure to find something to enjoy at Dollywood’s Splash Country! Follow these tips to help you make the most of your visit so you can spend less time stressing and more time having fun.

1. Arrive Early

If you want to make the most of your day at Dollywood’s Splash Country, you should arrive early. Aim to arrive at the parking lot around half an hour before the official opening time. This allows you to be one of the first guests through the turnstiles in the morning and one of the first people in line for the most popular attractions! You can ride top attractions such as RiverRush, Big Bear Plunge, Raging River Rapids, or TailSpin Racer with virtually no wait! Save things like the lazy river and wave pool until later in the day when more crowds have arrived.

2. Bring Plenty of Sunscreen

With all the excitement and rush of getting to Dollywood’s Splash Country, it’s easy to forget something like sunscreen. However, you won’t want to leave yourself and your loved ones unprotected from the sun while at the water park. Double-check your bag to make sure you’re prepared with sunscreen, and make sure you apply it early and reapply throughout the day. While no one likes taking the time to get out of the water and wait for sunscreen to dry, it beats getting a painful sunburn!

3. Stay Hydrated

If you want to have the best time possible at Dollywood’s Splash Country, make sure you’re drinking plenty of water to stay hydrated. It can be easy to get caught up in the fun and forget to drink. However, dehydration can happen quickly on hot summer days and isn’t fun to deal with. To help you stay hydrated, the water park has complimentary cups of water available at their restaurants and food stands. All you have to do is ask! You can also purchase bottled water if you prefer.

4. Purchase TimeSaver H2O

Another great way to make the most of your day at Dollywood’s Splash Country is to purchase TimeSaver H2O. This pass allows you expedited access to select rides so you can spend less time waiting in line during your visit. This pass is an extra cost, but it can be well worth it if you’re visiting the water park on a more crowded day.

5. Wear Water Shoes

While you’re allowed to walk around Dollywood’s Splash Country without shoes, you may want to consider wearing water shoes. The concrete throughout the water park can get pretty hot, and wearing shoes will protect your and your loved ones’ feet. Just keep in mind that shoes are not permitted on certain slides, so you’ll have to hold them while you ride.

6. Request a Rain Check

Don’t let bad weather ruin your day! If water park operations are interrupted by severe weather and your visit is affected, you can request a Rain Check. Stop by the ticket window on your way out and simply ask for one. These tickets are valid until the end of the season, so you can come back to Dollywood’s Splash Country the next day or later in the summer.

7. Stay Near the Park
