Does Dollywood seem a little overwhelming to you with all of its rides and activities? Don’t worry — you can navigate Dollywood like a pro! We’ve made a list of the top things everyone must do at Dollywood theme park so you don’t miss out on anything!

1. Take the Dollywood Express

An old-fashioned steam engine at Dollywood.

This 20-minute train ride through the Smoky Mountains is a must for everyone, whether you’re a couple or a family with kids! The genuine steam engine tales you through 5 miles of gorgeous mountain scenery and provides a step back in time! If you ever wondered what traveling by train would be like, you have to take advantage of this attraction located in The Village.

2. Get a Timesaver Pass

A Timesaver Pass will maximize your time at Dollywood! Spend less time waiting in line and more time enjoying breathtaking, exhilarating rides like the Dragonflier and the Wild Eagle roller coasters.

3. Ride Big Bear Mountain

You absolutely can’t skip Dollywood theme park’s longest ride yet, Big Bear Mountain ! This ride features 3,990 feet of winding track around Wildwood Grove and includes onboard music, audio, and announcements from resident wilderness explorer Ned Oakley himself!

4. Experience the Smoky Mountain River Rampage

Dare to brave the rapids in this white water rafting adventure! Located in Rivertown Junction, this ride is an experience unlike any other, with stomach-dropping dips and twists throughout!

5. Eat at Red’s Drive-In red's diner at dollywood

Make sure to go over to Jukebox Junction and eat at Red’s Drive-In for lunch! A classic burger and fries are a real crowd-pleaser. We know you’ll love this fun 50s-themed restaurant!

6. Walk through Dolly’s Tennessee Mountain Home

Dolly fans aren’t the only ones who can appreciate the two-room replica of her childhood home. It’s an interesting peek into what it was like to live in the mountains without electricity and running water! Don’t skip this unique attraction in Rivertown Junction!

7. Watch the Wings of America Show

For a fascinating and educational show, head over to Craftsman’s Valley for the Wings of America Show ! This is a great opportunity for kids to sit in the shade and take a break from all of the exciting rides. Our bird handlers engage with the audience and show off the most captivating performers– the birds!

8. Go to the Mountain Blown Glass Shop

Also in Rivertown Junction, you can watch talented artists hand blow glass every day at Dollywood! From vases to figurines, you’ll be amazed at the skill and beauty of this trade! With a craftsman’s help, you can create a personalized glass-blown ornament, a one-of-a-kind keepsake of your time at Dollywood!

9. Try the Famous Cinnamon Bread cinnamon bread

The Grist Mill in Craftsman’s Valley is home to the famous cinnamon bread, made fresh right in front of you. You can choose buttercream icing or homemade apple butter to eat this delicious treat with — the perfect snack to curb that sweet tooth!

10. Purchase Unique Gifts & Souvenirs

Before you go, don’t forget to stop in one of the many gift shops to purchase gifts for family and friends back home, as well as a souvenir or treat for yourself!
