Smoky Mountain Military and Relic Show Brings History to Life in Pigeon Forge

If you love history, the Smoky Mountain Military and Relic Show is the next best thing to owning a time machine! Offering something for every member of your family, this Pigeon Forge history event will bring the Civil War to life right before your eyes.

Location and Pricing

The Smoky Mountain Military and Relic Show will be coming to the Smoky Mountain Convention Center in Pigeon Forge on August 23 and 24. The event will run from 9 am until 5 pm on Saturday, and 9 am until 3 pm on Sunday. This family friendly event is only $10 for adults, $5 for children 2-12, and children under 2 are free.

The Experience

This Pigeon Forge history event was designed with the whole family in mind. The event will showcase a plethora of Civil War era artifacts ranging from muskets, rifles, and pistols to photographs, uniforms, and various other relics. The wide range of items will provide a wealth of information and insight into Civil War era life. The event will also feature special presentations from military personnel and historians throughout the day. Here are a few highlights:

On Saturday at 1:30 p.m., Lt. Colonel Tom Mckenney will give a fascinating talk about Jack Hinson, the legendary Confederate sniper.

On Sunday from 10 a.m. until noon, the United Daughters of the Confederacy will host a “Victorian Era Fashion Show”. Civil War cannonThis is a fun way to see what people dressed like in the 1800s!
