If you’ve been to Ober Gatlinburg in the winter and gone snow tubing, you may be wondering how hill tubing works since there’s no snow. Each of the four lanes are made out of a synthetic material called Neveplast. It makes the lanes slippery, creating the sensation of being on layers of compact snow. With this design, people can “snow” tube even in the heat of summer! You’ll have a blast riding to the top of the hill on the Magic Carpet, and this contraption prevents you from having to trek up the hill. Once you’re at the top, you’ll pick a lane, sit on your tube, and slide back down the hill!

2. Fun for Everyone

Summer tubing at Ober Gatlinburg is something everyone in your family can enjoy! It doesn’t matter if you’ve never been tubing before, because you don’t need to learn any special skills or take lessons to enjoy your ride down the hill! This attraction is designed for kids who are 5 years old and up. Children who are 4 years old can ride for free with an adult.

3. Plenty of Other Fun Activities

Take your kids to play a round or two of outdoor mini golf, or test your bravery by climbing the rock wall. Other fun activities you will want to try while you’re there include the Wildlife Encounter, ice bumper cars, the alpine slide, and the ski mountain coaster.

More Information about Summer Tubing at Ober Gatlinburg

Hill tubing is open from early summer to Labor Day every year. After Labor Day, the lanes are removed to get ready for the winter season for snow tubing. In order to go tubing, you must sign a waiver for each rider. If you want to experience more than just one activity, you should invest in a wristband that allows you to experience all kinds of attractions. Since summer tubing is included on all wristbands, each wristband requires a signed waiver too.
