Pigeon Forge stays popular year-round, with fall and summer being the most-visited times of the year. To pack for your Pigeon Forge vacation, you won’t need anything too extreme, but these are some things to remember!

What to Wear During a Pigeon Forge Vacation

Pigeon Forge weather is fairly predictable. Make sure you take clothes that are appropriate for the season. The best clothes to pack are those that can be layered, including light jackets. If you plan on hiking in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park on your Pigeon Forge vacation, you will want to make sure to pack tennis shoes or comfortable footwear. The trails can be rocky and rough in areas, so you will want to wear shoes that will support you through the hike. For children, it will be smart to have clothes that can get dirty on the hike, too!

There is a lot to see and do in Pigeon Forge. If you enjoy the outdoors, plan on visiting the parks and hiking trails in the area. Patriot Park near Pigeon Forge has a walking trail and the park is decorated with 50 state flags. As well as Patriot Park, there are many outdoor activities. Miniature golf is a fun way to spend some time outside on your Pigeon Forge vacation. Dollywood is a popular Pigeon Forge vacation attraction, too. For Dollywood in the summertime, you will want to pack cool clothes that can get wet from water rides!

The dinner theaters are very popular indoor activities for Pigeon Forge vacations. Also, shopping in the Pigeon Forge area malls and Gatlinburg Arts and Crafts Community are very popular things to do in Pigeon Forge.

For all of these activities, visitors will want comfortable clothes. The attire for attending a dinner show is casual. Most of the attractions will require comfortable and casual clothes and shoes. Also remember to pack your swimsuit for any time you may spend in a pool or in the Little Pigeon River!

Food to Pack for a Pigeon Forge Vacation

Packing food for your Pigeon Forge Vacation should not be a major concern. It is important to pack snacks and beverages for your trip, but once you have arrived at your Pigeon Forge cabin there are options for groceries. Smoky Mountain Grocery will even take your list and have your items delivered to your cabin! Smoky Mountain Grocery is the most convenient option because it saves visitors time and allows visitors to have fun in the mountains, rather than shop for groceries. A few things that can be great snacks for families are: fruits, vegetables, hamburgers for grilling, potato chips, fruit snacks, breakfast cereals, milk, and juices. It is important not to purchase too much at the stores unless you plan on taking things home with you! It is best to set your meal plan before purchasing items for your Pigeon Forge vacation. This way, you won’t have to waste any items if they are unused.
