Meet Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer at Dollywood’s Smoky Mountain Christmas Festival

This holiday season, Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer and his friends are joining the Smoky Mountain Christmas festival at Dollywood! The beloved Christmas television classic comes to life as Rudolph, Clarice, Bumble the Abominable Snow Monster, and Yukon Cornelius come to Dollywood for delightful character experiences you won’t find anywhere else.

Rudolph’s Holly Jolly Junction

Guests to Dollywood will enjoy visiting Rudolph’s Holly Jolly Junction, a magical area of the park where all types of holiday joy awaits families. Children will be delighted to meet Rudolph and his friends, and parents can create a fantastic Christmas photo souvenir that will be cherished for years.

Rudolph the Red Nosed-Reindeer premiered in 1964 and has been delighting audiences every year since its original broadcast. This wonderful stop motion animation classic is the longest running Christmas television special in history! 2014 marks the first time that the stars of this cherished movie will be at Dollywood to meet children and their families. Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and Santa

The characters that guests can look forward to meeting at Dollywood are Bumble, the famous Abominable Snow Monster who likes Rudolph’s glowing nose; Yukon Cornelius, the wild prospector in search of silver and gold; and Clarice, who falls in love with Rudolph. Of course, the highlight of the experience will be meeting Rudolph the Red Nosed-Reindeer himself. With his very shiny nose, Rudolph guides Santa’s sleigh through a stormy night and saves Christmas!

Smoky Mountain Christmas Festival Details

The Smoky Mountain Christmas festival at Dollywood takes place from November 8 to January 3. This joyous celebration of the holidays has won the award for America’s Best Christmas Event five times, and features over four million holiday lights throughout the park. Guests are treated to a variety of wonderful holiday performances, including Dollywood’s A Christmas Carol, an adaptation of the Dickens classic featuring a 15 member cast, period costumes, Victorian scenery and fully orchestrated musical tracks. Be sure to come to the park this season to meet Rudolph and enjoy all of the wonderful holiday festivities that Dollywood has to offer!
