According to the tale, a man was riding along the road when he came across a barefoot girl walking. Her name was Lucy, and he offered her a ride to her cabin. He quickly fell in love with her, and the next day he wanted to ask her parents for her hand in marriage. When he got there, her parents told him that she had died the previous year in a cabin fire. Today, some people still claim to see Lucy walking along the road, always wearing white and barefoot.
5. Elkmont Ghost Town
Just a short drive from downtown Gatlinburg is one of the most haunted areas in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park! Elkmont Ghost Town used to be a thriving logging town and resort community, but it now lies completely abandoned.
