Free Festival in Gatlinburg Celebrates the Best Smoky Mountain Artists

If you love arts and crafts, then you’ll definitely want to visit Gatlinburg this fall! In October, the Smokies will host the 10th Annual Gatlinburg Fine Arts Festival, a family oriented three-day outdoor fair featuring some of the very best artists from around the U.S. Read on to learn everything you need to know about this free festival in Gatlinburg.

Where and When

The Fine Arts Festival will be held at the famous Arrowmont School of Arts & Crafts, located at 556 Parkway in Gatlinburg near Traffic Light #5. The festivities will last from October 3 – 5, 2014. Here are the hours of the festival:

  • Friday: 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

  • Saturday: 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

  • Sunday: 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

What to Expect

Artists at The Gatlinburg Fine Arts Festival will compete for $10,000 in prizes and purchase vouchers in 16 different categories including watercolor, ceramics, glass and woodworking. Guests will have the chance to see artwork from some of the nation’s top artists and craftsmen. Other highlights of this free festival in Gatlinburg include a special children’s area, live Appalachian music, and food from Three Jimmy’s restaurant.
