Food enthusiasts visiting the Smokies next month will love the 17th Annual Taste of Autumn charity dinner! Guests at this autumn event in Gatlinburg, Tennessee will have the chance to try dishes from the area’s most popular restaurants. Read on for everything you need to know.

Where and When
The 2014 Taste of Autumn will be held on Tuesday, October 28, from 5 – 8 p.m., at the Gatlinburg Convention Center, which is located at 234 Historic Nature Trail. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased on the official Taste of Autumn website. Children under the age of 7 will be admitted to the event for free.
What to Expect
Participants will enjoy a festive evening of dining and dancing. Everyone is welcome to indulge in unlimited samples of foods and beverages that have been made famous in the Great Smoky Mountains. The food will be supplied by several regional businesses and and a variety of delightful cooking demonstrations will be held. Last year’s event featured food from excellent local restaurants including Peddler Steakhouse, Park Grill, Fuddruckers, and Smoky Mountain Ice Cream.
Proceeds Benefit the United Way
One hundred percent of the event’s admission cost will be used to benefit the United Way of Sevier County. The United Way helps to support several projects that are designed to improve lives and strengthen communities. Beneficiaries include the Mountain Hope Good Shepherd Clinic and the Boys and Girls Club of the Smoky Mountains.
