One of the most popular seasonal events returns to Gatlinburg this summer with the Gatlinburg Craftsmen’s Fair! This celebration of arts, crafts and music features over 150 booths from the nation’s finest craftspeople as well as live country and bluegrass music! Here is everything you need to know about attending the Gatlinburg Craftsmen’s Fair:
1. What To Expect
The Gatlinburg Craftsmen’s Fair is a Smoky Mountain tradition that offers more than 180 of the finest craftspeople from all over the United States! This is a unique opportunity to view live demonstrations from both the nationwide artists and the local craftsmen who are preserving the history of the Smoky Mountain region. This is also the perfect time to purchase a unique souvenir, as the fair features something for everyone, including homemade jams and jellies, handcrafted jewelry, one-of-a-kind pottery items, master wood carvings and more! As if that wasn’t enough, the Gatlinburg Craftsmen’s Fair also features live musical entertainment for all ages! Head down to the stage area to listen to the pop country hits, nostalgic favorites and bluegrass tunes performed by the Dennis Lee Band.
2. Dates, Times and Location
The 2018 Gatlinburg Craftsmen’s Fair runs from Friday, July 13 to Sunday, July 22, and is open Mondays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Sundays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The event is conveniently located at the Gatlinburg Convention Center at traffic light #8 in downtown Gatlinburg. All of the craft booths will be open daily throughout the fair and the live music performances take place each day at noon, 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. The only exception is on Sundays when there will only be two performances at noon and 4 p.m.
3. Admission Information
The admission fee for the Gatlinburg Craftsmen’s Fair is just $7 for adults, while children 12 and under are admitted for free! The admission fee includes all of the live music performances as well as a Kids Corner for the children. This fun craft area features free craft projects for younger children, such as sand art and painting projects that they can take home with them!
