It’s March Madness in the Smokies! Next month is absolutely jam-packed with great festivals and shows in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. To help you keep track of all the fun, we’ve put together a handy guide to all of the upcoming Smoky Mountain events.

Gatlinburg Improv Fest (March 6 – 8)

The Gatlinburg Improv Fest is going to be an absolute laugh riot! Local comedy troupes will perform six different shows of completely improvised humor. Check out our Improv Fest blog to find out all the details.

Winter Carnival of Magic (March 7 – 8)

The Winter Carnival of Magic brings nine award winning magic acts to the Country Tonite Theatre for two unforgettable shows. After you watch these incredible illusionists perform, you’ll be scratching your head for days, trying to figure out their mesmerizing tricks!

Parade of Santas (March 15)

Spring is just around the corner…and Santa Claus is coming to town! As strange as it may sound, hundreds of Santas will parade down the Gatlinburg Parkway as part of Clausfest, the Smoky Mountain’s annual Christmas convention. Your little ones will love seeing all of their favorite holiday characters at this unexpected time of year.

Quiltfest (March 19 – 22)

The 20th annual Quiltfest is a must-see event for the quilter in your family. Guests will be able to enter a quilting competition, get quilts appraised, and take over 60 courses taught by quilting experts.

Corvette Expo (March 21 – 22)

If you are a classic car lover, the Corvette Expo is for you! Guests will be able to admire, sell, and buy an impressive collection of Corvettes in every color, year, and model imaginable.

Dollywood Opening Day (March 22)

Just in time for the official start of spring, Dollywood will open it’s gates once again! This year, guests will have the chance to ride the FireChaser Express, the park’s all new rollercoaster. As the first dual-launch family coaster in Dollywood, the FireChaser is going to be one thrilling ride!

Festival of Nations (March 22 – April 21)

March 22 also marks the beginning of Dollywood’s Festival of Nations. This international celebration brings musicians, dancers, chefs, and other entertainers from all around the world to Dollywood for a month full of amazing performances. Guests will see everything from Zambian gospel music to Bavarian stilt walking!
